'Competition was not. so keen as of late, and prices, especially towards the close, eased about 20s. per head compared with last week's rates. Best lulfocks brought £18 10... to £20; extra to £22 2s. 6d.; medium to good, £14 to £15 10s.; best cows and heifers, ±.14 to £15 10s.; extra, to £18; medium to good, £12 to £18: others from £10 u>. There was a small yarding of fat sheep of good quality. -Prices showed a use of about Is. per head on last.week s rates. Best wethers realised 39s to SrV: extra, to 445. 9d.; medium to good, 365. 6d. to 375.; best ewes, 3fi S to 38s. 6d.; extra 405.; medium to good, 325. to 345.; others 28s. up. For fat lambs last week's high rates were not maintained pnees showing a, drop of 2s. to 2s. 6d. per head. Best Libs brought 28s to 305.: extra 32,, ; medium to good, 245. to 265.; others, 91s np There was a good yarding of pi<r S . Prices for fat pigs were well up telate rates. There was a large yardfog of stores, which were cleared at good prices.
