The quality generally was good. At the opening of the sale the demand was good) and pricoa were 15s. per head better than last week's sales, but the demand later fell away, and prices receded to last 'week's rates. Quotations: Prime bullocks, £19 10s. to £20 55.; extra, £23; good, £17, £18 55.; light, £15, £16 55.; prime cows and heifers, £10, £16 10s.; calves, io £17 2s. 6d.; good, £13 10s., £14 10s.; light, £10, £12. Fat sheep—lß4B were penned. The quality was very good, there being splendid, lots of wethers. Competition was very keen at the start at 2s. per head above last week's rates, but fell away by 3s. per head. Prime wethers, 38s. 6d., 41b.; extra, 455. 6d.; good, 355., 375.; medium, 325., 335. 6d/; prime ewes 335., 355. Id.; good, 29a. Gd.. 315.; medium, 265. 6d., 28s. Fat Lambs.—-The yarding was small, and prices very firm on last week's extreme rates. Tho quality was only moderate, with some of indifferent quality. Best, 285., 325.; medium, 245.. 265. 6d.: light. 215., 225. Pigs.—Medium yarding of fat and store's. Fat pigs met with ready sale at prices on a par with last week's rates. For 6toro piss there was good repetition, and high prices ruled.
