SPLIT IN THE DUAL MONARCHY
OVER A PROPOSED HUNGARIAN E ARMY. (Rec. January 10, 0.20 a.m.) Amsterdam, January 9. Vienna telegrams state that there is open conflict between the Austrian and Hungarian Governments, owing to Hungary's proposal to create an independent Hungarian army. The Austrian Government conferred with tho Emperor, who decided against the pro-posal.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
