Adelaide, January 8. Mr. A. W. Styles, Minister' of Education, whose action as a Minister has beon impugned in connection with some land purchases by a former Government, has resigned.—Press Assn. [According to a previous cable message the report of the Royal Commission which has been inquiring into the purchase of land for soldiers and other purposes by tho Vaughan'Government stated that the evidence pointed to tho conclusion tiiat Mr. A. W. Styles, the then Chief Secretary, betrayed his trust as a Minister, and assisted an agent, enabling tho latter to make a profit of £4000. Referring to the proposed purchase of land for £292,000, tho report stated that theland was not worth _ £158,000. The Government valuation had wilfully put untruo va!ue s ou ljuid.l
