APPLICATION THAT MR. HUGHES , : BE COMMITTED TO PRISON. Sydney, January 4. Applications were made in the High ; Court by Messrs. Ryan and Theodora that Mr. W. M. Hughes, Prime Minister, be committed to prison for con-. tempt of Court in connection with the publication of a telegram which tho applicants claimed tended to interfere : with the fair and impartial hearing of criminal charges against them. The case was referred to the Full . Court for decision.—Press Assn.
