Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Barton, of Gisborne, are spending a holiday at Otaki. Mrs. Coleman (Napier) is staying at the Grand Hotel, Auckland. Mrs. Eric Caro (Napier) is on a visit to Wellington. Mrs. Bob Cooper, of Wairoa, is coin" to Botorua- to work for the returned soldiers there, and is also giving the soldiers the use of her motor and chauffeur. Mrs E. A. Christie and her family are staying in Otaki till the end of January. Mrs. Walter Shand is staying in her house at Day's Bay with her family for the holidays. Mr. and Mrs. T. Ledingham (Melbourne) are amongst tho oversea. visitors in Christchurch. Mr. Marcus Marks and Miss Marks (Wellington) are visiting Hanmer. Mrs. MolesworthTolhurst is the guest of Miss Coates, in Hobson Street. • Miss Dorothy Tripe is staying at Rotorua. Miss Friend (Australia) is staying with her brother, Mr. Friend, in '.Unakori Road. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Stewart (Feilding) and their two sons are staying at Castlecliff, AVanganui, for tho whole of January. Mrs. Ernest Coleridge and her children intend spending tho holidays in Nelson.

Miss Fairbnm (Wanganui) is the guest of Mrs. Atkinson in Maheno Bay. Major and Mrs. Sandlo (Wairarapa)are staying at WharoKoa, Day's Bay. Captain and Mrs. Drumraond Ferguson, who have been staying at tho Hotel Braeburn, have gone to Auckland, and aro staying at the Grand Hotel. _^_ Mr. and Mrs. Marrinor (Auckland) are. going to Mount Ruapehu for tho holidays.
Tho many friends of Dr. Agnes Bennett will be interested to know that she is shortly expected in Sydney. Dr. Bennett has been suffering from malaria, and has left her work for a while in Serbia to recruit her health in Australia. Miss D. Barclay (Palmerstnn Nrrth) is visiting relatives in Christchurch. Mrs. D. Bhmdell is visiting Christchurch. Sir Georgo and Lady Clifford are in Auckland for tho races. Mrs. M'Crao ,and Mrs. AVard are staying at Warwick House, Christchurch. Miss Edith A. Howes, of Girls' Collego, Wejlington, is staying with her brother in Christehurch. Tho Misses Maud Halliday (Addington), M. M'lntosh (Merivale), and Gwladys Stringer (St. Albans) are spending their vacation at Hanmcr, and aro staying at Clarenco House.
