MONEY MABKET , " The Bank of England discount rate was on January 2, 1914, reduced from 5 to 4J per cent., on January 22 it was reduced to 4 tier cent., and on January 23 to 3 per oent. Oα July M the rate was ra'eed to 14 tier cent., on July 31 it was raised to 8 per cent., and on August 1 it was further adTanoed to 10 per cent.
