TO BE HELD IN FEBRUARY,

A special district order has. been issued by the officer commanding tho Wellington Military District, containing instructions for the annual and casual Territorial camps. The oth Regiment and the other Wellington units will hold their annual camp at Karori from February 1 to February 9. The first casual camp, for men unable to attend the annual camp, will bo held from February 11 to February 19, and the second casual camp from February 20 to February 26, both at It is stated in the ordor that the camps this year, with the exception, of artillery units, will be in the. nature of district, rather than regimental campß, owing to the following reasons :-(a) The endeavour to meet the employers, by allowing them at least three chances, of sending their employees to camp, (b) The very elementary natnre of the training, owing to the 'modified training syllabus, (c) As the result of (a) and (b) tile necessity for fewer camps, spread over a larger period than the ordinary regimental camps, In order that members of any unit may attendtne nearest or most convenient camp, lrresnective of their branch of the service, (d) On account of economy of. staff instructors. .
