annual meeting
'Hie annual meeting of the New Zealand Natives' Association was held last evening. Mr. G. Gapes presided The annual report'and balance-sheet were adopted. Tho following office-bearers were elected for the ensuing year:-Presi-dent, Hon. A. L. Herdman; committee Messrs. G. Gapes (chairman), H. Long (secretary), H. Cook .(treasurer),, P. koopor, Potter, G Bnckley, J. Windsor C. M'lntvre, C Morris, S. Bock, J. i-laraill, and A. M'Masters. It was decided to go on with the scheme for tho building of a memorial hall. _____-_—
