VERDICT AT THE INQUEST.

Palmerston North, December 13. • An inquiry was held to-day into tho death of Jolm William M'Carty, who was killed on Monday by colliding with.' a train while riding a motor-cycle ever a railway crossing on the Awapuul Road. A verdict was returned that deceased met his death as the result of injuries received; no blame being attachable to anybody.. The jury added a rider that the removal of the boughs of trees would give a clearer view of the crossing, botn to railway officials and the public, and thus make the crossing safer.
