AUSTRIAN BATTLESHIP TORPEDOED
(Roc. Dccomber 12, 11.55 p.m.) Amsterdam, December 11. The Austrian batlesihp Wien was torpedoed, on Sunday. Most of tho crew were saved. —Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. The Austrian battleship Wien was completed in 1895. The three vessels of Tier class are of 5600 tons displacement (comparatively small for the battleship class), and carry a complement of 400. Their armament consists of four 9.4-inch guns, Bix 6-inch guns, and secondary metal.]
