Butter.—Government pooling all ; uiP° rt cd butters a !'d distributing at flat ia,i9 of 2525., without any rcgnr<l io origin. In addition to butters' already Government property, Food Controller ■will take over all butters 011 arrival at price to he decided later. Maximum prices remain unchanged. No quotations for uncontrolled butter owinc to [mutilated word here]. Cheese.—Cheese is very scarce, Gov. ernment prices. . Estimated Canadian cheese stocks London, Liverpool, Bristol, 8806 boxes, against 13,002 at same tune last year. Hemp.—Manila, market continues weak. Low grades are scarce, probably 111 consequence of the alteration in method production owing to high price obtainable for high grades in America, Output two weeks ending Decernber 1, 44,000 bales. New Zealand market remains as last reported. Business for forward shipment difficult on account of freight.
