PUBLIC SCHOOLS'ASSOCIATION

ANNUAL TOURNAMENT

The annual tournament held under the auspices of the Wellington Public Schools' Lawn Tennis Association was continued, on Saturday in favourable weather.. The play, particularly in the boys' events, was of a high, order, and it augurs.well for the. future of tennis in Wellington if those responsible for ■the management of clubs keep an eye on these boys after they leave school. The game between Donovan and Jenkins (Clyde Quay) and M'Phee and Mackenzie (Terrace) was well contested, ■whilst Couzens end Graham (Mafamii) proved to be a very hot pair who should be heard of in , the finals; In the girls' events the Hutt Valley representatives are still going stron«ly. The Management Committee, consisting of Misses Fraser and E. Williams and Mr, Haslam, worked very hard to ensure the success of the gathering. Mr. AV, J. Melody was hon.
