GENERAL SITUATION UNCHANGED London, December 4. An official report from Palestine states:—"Tho situation generally is unchanged. East Couuty troops, by a raid, captured the whole garrison of a Turkish post south of the Nahr Auja River. Our aeroplanes successfully bombed the Turkish communications in tho vicinity of Till Iter am. —Aus.-N.Z. Cable Asen.-iteuter. MASTERS OF JDDEAN HILLS. (Rec. December 5, 9 p.m.) London, December 4. Mr. W. T. Masse,y writes' (November 29):—"Wo have got such a hold of all I the commanding positions on the Judean hills that I .mi able to report 'All's well.' The "Agenzia Liberale" states that tho Pope, replying to a letter from tho Austrian Empress, declared that lie could not approve of Roman Catholic soldiers assisting tho Turks to retain the holy places.—Aus.-N.Z.
