The City Council last evening adopted tho recommendation that a circular letter be sent to all hotelkeopers requesting them to see that their telephones are. not used for the purpose ol hiriiiß taxicabs unless they arc prepared to make themselves rcsponsiblt for at least tho minimum fare. Messrs. 0. W. Vrico and Co. will hold a sal« of household furniture at their mart to-day at 1.30 o'clock.
