SECOND DIVISION LEAGUE
The Central Executive of tho Second Division League met last evening, Mr. R. A. Armstrong presiding. The bon. secretary, Mr. 0. H. Chapman, reported a considerable increase of membership as a result of the distribution of the "Handbook for Reservists" among idle men drawn in tbe first of Class A. Reservists wore also using the leagjie freely for advice and assistanon. "Satisfactory reports were'received from all parts of tbe Dominion regarding; the organisation and extension of the league. In tbe Wellington provincial district the formation of new leagues was announced at Ohakune, Rangitaua, Hordpito. Raurhwii, and OwhanßO. Tho Auckland, Otago, and South Provincial Leagues have decided to issue tbe "Handbook" in their respective districts. A further edition of 10,000 was authorised for the Wellington province. A reply from the Minister of Defence to the resolution of tho league on the alien question, asking that the league supply specifio instances of cases where reservists businesses or properties have been taken over by aliens, was received, and the secretary instructed to write to tile various provincial representatives for definite information on this matter.
