Feildlng Notes. On Friday and Saturday the Girls' Clnb held a'large fair, in the Dril Hall, in aid of various patriotic funds. The stalls wore laden with sweets, plain and fancy sewing, cakes, produce, and paintings. .There ( was a large Christmas tree, with all kinds of beautiful tovs. The winners of the numerous competitions were: Mesdaroes Harrison, Roberts, Bradley, Fisher Thomson (Auckland), Graham, Gray, Humphries, Knight, Dewe, Misses Mathews, Davenport Conway. Abb.s , Foster, Messrs. Bailey, Rnshton, Unduers Miers, Mills, Newman, Smith, Ingt and Dγ' Phillips. On Saturday night a motor procession led the way to the hall, largo numbers of people appearing in.fancy dress. Afternoon tea and suppor were greatly patronised After all their hard work he girls are greatly to he praised, the sum of over £400 being made. Mrs. Hitchings has returned from Wellington. ' . . Mrs. Browno has gono to Napier. Mrs. Kavanagh has returned from Wellington. . Miss Bryco has returned from Hamuli's. Soler has returned from Shannon.
