London, November 27. Mr W. H. Long (Colonial Secretary) presiding at a gathering at which papers wcro read in favour of land settlement within tlio Empire, said ho was heartily in agreement with the proposals. The Government wouldnot be wanting either in will or energy m dealine with tho question of Empire settle-ment.-Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
