London, September 6, Dr. Mary Pilliet, L.C.C. (Canterbury), has been spending a few weeks in Buckinghamshire. Mrs. Atkinson (Wellington) has returned to London after spending several weeks in Devonshire. Mr. Balfour, of tho New Zealand Postal Service, care evidence beforo the Dardanelles Commission last week. Captain Frederick L. Armitage, N.Z.M.C., who is at Brockenhursfc, has been elected a Fellow of the Royal Institute of Public Health. Miss Mary Bnrkas (Timnrn) returned from n trip to see her people in New Zealand recently, and has resumed her studies at the London School of Medicine.

A concert in aid of the Crippled Soldiers nnd Sailors' Hostel Lift Fund is to be held in St. Thomas's Hall, Newtown, to-morrow evening. Madame Monkmnn-Dempster and Mr. Dempster are arranging the programme, which is of. much merit.
