Robert Dixon: Warden was remanded till Wednesday on several charges of theft in Christchureh and Wellington. It is alleged that from two, Wellington dwellings he stole property to the value or over £70. John Burt was charged with the theft of a barrel of whisky worth £25 45.. belonging to- the Wellington Harbour Board, and a box of candles valued at £1 25., belonging to Batinatyne and Co. He pleaded not guilty, and was remanded to the Supreme Court for trial.
