LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
WILL YOU DO SOMETHING FOR THE SAILORS? Sir, —Alas, there was. no response to my appeal for .a billiard table which you so kindly inserted in your issue of November 9. In those years of wort among our oversea and coasting sailora we have never failed to secure what we have asked for, in reason, ajid as 1 am anxious to help these men who are responsible for the removal /of our imports and exports and the transport of our troops, I feel 6uro you. will again come to our rescue. An offer of a very suitable table for our institute has reached me—a. table that, would help largely to entertain the men now 6 o'clock closing looms so near. It would cost between £20 and £30. I cannot h\ii think that there are those who will he willing to assist among your readers by small donations to aid the iLßii who aid us.—l am etc., JAMES MOORE,' ■ . Missioner, • The Sailors' Friend Society.
