"OUR DAY" APPEAL

Tho returns presented to the Wellington Executive Committee of the New Zealand branch of tho British Red Cross Society and Order of St. John show that the total for tho city of "Wellington and suburbs was £11,258, of which £3000 was allocated to the Blind Soldiers and Sailors' Appeal. The total return for tho Wellington military district was £20,245 Is. 9d., to which is to be added the sum of £1029, sent direct to tho offlcer-in-charge, and £1279 Is. 9d. sent direct to the Internal Affairs Department. The honorary treasurer of the Wellington branch acknowledges receipt of tho following additional contributions from the Wellington Centre (military districts): — . £ s. d.
