Although Mormon customs and rites form the foundation of the feuturo drama ™ titled "A Mormon Maid," tho story 'docg not rely Eolely on its sensational expof? re , °f toe wrongs resulting from fanatical adherence to a curious creed. The drama itself is described as a great pro miction, lavishly produced, and acted by stars of high rank in fllmdom. Mao Murray, as the heroine, is Baid to gjvc one oi the most, appealing delineations of her wnolo screen career, and the strong cast oi men is headed by Dobart Bosworth, whoso capacity is well known. The scenes are stated to bo wonderfully conceived, some of these ranking with the Bettings or the greatest flint dramas. The plot is full of action, and is studded with scenes of < great strength. The King'e ineatro will open to-day under the new policy of continuous running. Tho first session is at 2 p.m., and the theatre will be open from thenco onwards until 10 o clock. To-night, at 8 o'clock, at the Grand Opera Hou6o, the curtain will riso on tho musical pantomimic play, "Tho Magic Carpet," presented by Miss Gladys Campbell, which with instantaneous success when firet produced hero last, September. TO-NIGHT'S ORGAN RECITAL. An organ rooital will be grven in thft Town Hall this evening by the Oity Organist (Mr.' Bernard V. Page), when a new Hem by Oesar Franck, .'.ntitled "Priero," will be performod. Salome' 6 "Sonata" (op. 25), the Prelude from the 9th Sonata for the Tiolin (Oorelli), Rachmaninoff's "Romance," Rimsky-lCorsakoff's "Scheherazade," tho Third Movement from tho Symphony (Suite, and tho celebrated Symphony Poem, "Danee Haoabrc," figure on tho programme. BUNDAY CONCERT. The Wellington Professional Orchestra will give its last Sunday conoert of the present season to-morrow evening at His Majesty's Theatre. A popular programme has been selected, including the overture Euduro to Conquer," and selections from Carmen" and "Madam Butterfly." Other pieces will be the "Hymn to the Sun" from Mascagni's Japanese opera "Irie," and the sextette from "Lucia," while in lighter vein are tho "Jdignon" Gavotte and a quaint "March of the Littlo Leaden Soldiers" (Piorne). A silver coin collection will bo taken up.
