A BLEAK SOUTHERLY
Yesterday came as another warning that summer is not yet. Grey skies, a bleak southerly, and rain so.ualls gavo the prospect rather the appearance of jnid-July than mid-November. In other districts tho conditions appear to have been tho same. Present indications aro for high southerly winds north of New Plymouth and Castlepoint, and southeaster elsewhere. Further unsettled and cloudy weather is to bo looked for, with heavy rain, especially over the North Island, and snow on tho higher levels in the south.
