HIDDEN TREASURES HUNT AT LYALL BAY
This afternoon the Lyall Bay Beach ■will bo th© centro of interest, as a committee under Councillor M, F. Luckio have buried on the boach hundreds of valuable prizes for which the public are invited to search. Tho effort is in aid of the Mayoress's Christmas Gift Fund, and is being provided by tho Lyall Bay Surf Club, assisted by members of the Maranui Club. Hundrods of valuable prizes aro provided. They range from a table-cloth, valued at £h 55., a Mb prize, skirt (tailor made), valued at £'i 35., cameo brooch, handbags, etc., etc., and the committee absolutely guarantee that the lowest valued prize will be worth 2s. Digging will begin at 2 o'clock, and go on until 5, and immediately a coupon is found it will bo honoured by tho secretary. The charge for a spade will bo Is., and hundreds of parents will bring along their families to join in tho fun. Afternoon tea is being provided by tho ladies of Maranui. There will bo ice cream and fruit for sale on tho beach, hoop-la, donkey rides, etc., etc.
