BOWLERS AND THE CHRISTMAS GIFT FUND. Tho following circular memorandum has been addressed to all bowlers owing allegiance to tho Wellington Bowling Centre:— : "DearSirs—'SomewhoreiiiFrance,' in Egypt, Mesopotamia, on transports, and in camp New Zealand soldiers aro serving their country- for. you and for us, and when Christmas Day comes round they will think of homo and wish they wero there. But they will remain at their posts of duty- until victory is won. Can wo not do something at this Reason of the year to mark our appreciation of tho services which aro being bo generously rendered on our behalf? "Since the commencement of tho war tho Associated Amateur Sports' Bodies nave organised a. Christmas Gift Fund, and bpwlors havo been consistently, generous with their support. Last year tho.Mayoress of Wellington, in. association with the, Citizens' Service League, dispatched 20,000, parcels of an average vuluo of ss. The 6amo quantity is required.Again. You can help, by-making a cash donation to tho (secretary- of your club, winch will I>q. credited with the Total amount raised by it for the fund.
