It is understood that the Fourth Bri- ( - gade, whioh was formed in, England ■fiome months ngo to fight as an auxiliary to the Nevr Zealand Division, is to be broken up in order to Teinforce the division. Ths brigade was formed out ot ' accumulated reinforcements, and it was . understood ot the time that it was formed at the instance of the British authorities, and not of the New Zealand Government. Sir James Allen has stated on many occasions that if ever the extra ~ brigade should h>. reonired for.reinforcements for the- division, the extra bneade would be broken up. Evidently_ it is now considered that there is necessity for taking this step, and the brigade is being broken up. ■
