GALLANT DEEDS. IN LONDON ON AIR RAID DAY. When tho raid wan over he helped to carry soveral injured persons to hospital, and remained on duty until fi.M a.m., assisting to keep the crow'd out of adjoining streets in which premises were on fire. , All these incidents, said Sir .Tolin Dickinson, constituted a notable example ot duty performed under the stress of tro'ordinary circumstances. 'J lie constable displayed great coolness, and Ins action was undoubtedly the means of preventing several casualties at tho gravest risk to his own life, whilst his example helped many others to pull themselves together.
