Messrs. Dalgety and 00., Ud., Palmerston North, report haviug held their fortnightly sale, at Taihapa on November 7, wheu a small yarding of both sheep and oattle came to hand. There was a small attendance of buyers, and sheep wore dull of sale, priceß being easier. Quotations:— Four and six-tooth forward wethers, in wool, 40s. 9d.; empty ewes, in wool (small), 30s. 6d.; small ewes with lambs at foot, 31s. 3d.; mixed hoggets, In wool, 245. 10d., 265. 6d„ to 275. lOd.j bulls, to £17 17s. ' Messrs. Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report:—At Levin on Tuesday we had a small entry of sheep, and a good yarding of cattle. A good demand existed for au stock, and practically a total clearance was made,at the following prices. Quotations :—Sheep: Medium fat shorn wethers, 345.; fat. shorn ewes, 31s. 6d.; fat woolly ewes, £'2 os. Id. to £2 25.; medium woolly hoggets, 31b. 4d. Cattle: Fat heifers, JUo to £14; light, fat cows, £12 155.; vealers, £2 to £5 10s.; two-year empty heifers, *j ■ £9 Is.; three-year steers, £13 65.; welloonditioned three-year steers, £15 10s.; two and a half-year steers, £11 3s. 6d.; yearling heifers, £4 145., £4 165., to' £5 5b.; yearling steers, £5 lis., £6 Is., to £7 175.; two-year steers, £10 2s. 6d.; fresh-condi-tioned cows, £10 25.; store cows, £6 10s. to.£7 10s.; aged bulls, £7 to £9.
