DISAPPEARED AFTER BEING DRAWN IN BALLOT. ' By Tclcgraph-Press Association. Pahiatua, November 6. John Franz Eugene Baucke, of Pahiatua, who was drawn in the ballot somo" months ago, and disappeared the day before ho was warned to parade, was arrested at midnight last night at the foot of the Tararua Ranfje, on the Palmerston side. It is bolieved ho has been hiding in the bush. The po;ice on both sides of the range had been keeping a good look-out. The arrest was made .by the Palmerston police. •
