THE WHEAT CROP
CONFERENCE OF INTERESTED PARTIES. The Hon. D. Buddo asked the Minister of Agriculture yesterday what arrangements farmers could make for the delivery of the wheat crop. The Hon. W. D. S. Mao Donald, in reply, stated that the Board of Irade had been visiting all the large centres in the South Island, consulting the millers, farmers, and other interested parties with regard to the taking over of the milling crop. A conference had W arranged to be held in Christchurch 'on Fridav, November 2. of representa-tives-of ill the interested parties. Hβ had hoped to place tho matter before Cabinet and go to Christehurch on Thursday night. Tj nfortunately aftaua in the House might delay his going, but the members of the Board of Trade would not be prevented from a" 61 "".*"; There was, lie understood, perfect unanimity between tho parties to the conference, and he hoped their proposals would be given eftect to et the conference. Hβ might be able to attend it yet.
