Early !in the war he accepted service with the ,y.I[.C.A. to organise sports for tho Aus. tralian Forces. During the last football : Reason he was busy at Lark Hill Camp, ;«nd since crossing the water, ho lias had n. very busy time. Hβ has induced tho jY.If.C.A. to fit up a stadium "in a .leli •jn the woods, a veritable natural amphiHheatre, with accommodation for 3000." ,There are many Australians who liko have a turn with the glovts, and their '.friends are equally pleased to see how Jthey shape. •
■ There is also a big following for ,cricket, and at present intor-divieional .matches are in full swing, the ]?rench turf having been specially prepared' by a number of enthusiasts. ■ Great interest 13 evinced in these games, one in August attracting an attendance of 2100.
