BRITAIN WILL NOT COMPROMISE. (Rec. October 28, 5.5 p.m.) London, October 27. Sir Walter Townley, British Minister at The Hague, doolares that the Dutch returns regarding: tho transit of sand and gravel are' not reliable. Tho British embargo on telegrams to Hollaed cannot be abolished till the traffic is stopped. The British Government has no thought of submitting tho dispute to arbitration.
