SOCIAL HYGIENE BILL

amendments to be made. A conference between the Minister Public Health (the Hon. G. W. Russell) and members of the House who are opposed to the Sooial Hygiene Bill was held Yesterday. Agreement was reached on a number of points, the Minister agreeing to modify his Bill in some particulars. The amended proposals will bo submitted to Cabinet, and afterwards to the House. It is understood that most of the clauses objected' to have been deleted The committee clause will l» struck out, but provision for patrols will be retained. It Js probable that the new Bill will appear in a day or two.
