(From the "British Australasian.") London, August 23. Second Lieutenant Cecil E. Murray (Lincoln) is returning to New Zealand shortly. Chaplain J. A. MTCenaie, N.Z.E.F., is at the New Zealand Hospital, Brockenhurst.
Flight Lieuteuant D. E. Harknoss, R.N. (Nelson), has been staying in London.
Lieutenant J. G. Paterson (Hamilton), N.Z.F.A., is in London on a few days' leave. He returns this, week-end. Lieutenant K. Eiddiford (Masterton), of the New Zealand. Headquarters Division, who has been in' Ix)1kIoii on leave, has l returned to,the Western front. Lance-Oorporal F. 0. Budd, N.Z.8.F,, a former employee of Router's Telegraph Company in Wellington, :s at Hornchurch, recovering from 6hell wounds. Colonel G. Hall, A.Q.M.G., of the New Zealand Military Headquarters,-has injured his ankle rather badly as tie result of a motor mishap, and is now ;n tho Walton Hospital. . Mr W. H. Davenport (architect, ct Auckland), who for the past two years has been serving as a motor .-anbmlance driver in Egypt and France, I hasi been wounded, and is in. ttc Brockenhurat. _ „ _ _ . , Colonel 11. Young, D.5.0., Canterbury Battalion, who succeeded Brigadier-Gen-eral Johnston, was passing 'he spot where General Johnston was Tecently killed, when he was 6hot through the neck and severely wounded. He is in a French hospital. Colonel A. Plugge, C.M.G.._ officer in charge of physical training, New Zealand Division, has reported at Mill Hill depot for a special course prior to going to Aldershot. Colonel Plugge-was with the Auckland Regiment at Gallipoli. Second Lieutenant Claude ,H. \\ iiliams, who is a relative of Dr. 31 i'.rokl Williams, correspondent of the ''Daily Chronicle," has obtained a commission in the Pembroke Yeomanry. He is on the Western frontier, near Hatrup, in charge of a motor patrol. Ha has lately received the Order of the Nile from the Khedive. , . „ The l'riends of Captain and Mrs. \\. b. Wnllis will be interested to hear of the birth of their daughter, at Prince s Gate, S.W.. on August 3. Ladv Mackenzie, who has been staying at Walton, has had to come to London for an operation, which has been satisfactorily performed, and she is getting on well. _ , r Midshipman Mervyn S.
