AUSTRIAN HEAVILY REINFORCED
FORTY DIVISIONS FROM EASTERN FRONT
Washington, October 19. Dispatches from Koine state that the Austro-Germans have been compelled to withdraw forty divisions from the Eastern front to reinforce tho Austrian troops on tho Italian front. Already, German, Turkish, and Bulgarian troops have been sent to tho Italian front, bnt Austria appealed to- Germany for additional reinforcements. The majority of Uie troops are endeavouring to withstand Italian pressure on the Bainsizza Pla-teau.—Ans.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
