Sudan Grass..—This is a new fodder plant introduced by the U.S. Department of Agriculture, and is believed to bo the best of all fodder crops for quick results, and especially for dry land and weather conditions everywhere Tn appearance it greatly 'resembles Johnson Grass, but stems are smaller and more leafy. Grows to height of G to 8 feet. It k a wonderful droughtresisting crop, and seemingly an excess of rain results in no' injury 'to it. Stock, prefer il; to any other forage. It is excellent for ensilage. Milch cows pastured on Sudan Grass showed itn increase of 3.2 pounds per nay over stock hav.
We must warn our customers to take great caro in' securing seed, and be suro that they do not get Johnson Grass, which may prove, a pest, as it is very difficult to eradicate.
