London, October 18. Butter.—The shortage is acute. It ii quoted at 150s. About 42,000 boxes of! New Zealand have arrived in London.; There is the keenest competition at ■ maximum prices. It is reported that the Government is offering 1575. per cent, f.o.b. lor Kβ*-. Zealand's butter output. . ■. The Australian Butlor Committee has, writen to Lord Khondda, Food Control-; ler, protesting against the difference'ia the price of Australian and New Zealand "butter, which, it contends, ought" not to exceed 1?. per cwt.
