CABINET CRISIS IN FRANCE
HECONSTRUCTION OF MINISTRY EXPECTED. Paris, October 18.. There is a fresh Cabinet crisis over the Malvy affair. The Government succeeded by a majority of 57, after in excited discussion, in securing postponement of the debate.
It is considered certain that M. Tainleve must reconstruct his Ministry, probably including Socialists in the Cab-inet.—Aus.-N.Z. Cablo Assn. ;
JM. Malvy, who was recently Minister of the Interior for France, reeijned, as he said, because he was being made tho subject of a campaign of calumny. In connection with the notorious "Bonnet K-ouge" affair, It. Clemenceau accused M. Jlaky of having been associated with Almeryeda (editor of tho "Bonnet Rouge'), who, he alleged, was only the minor agent, in a huge conspiracy. M. Malvy, in the Chamber of Deputies, refuted an accusation by M. Leon Daudet, contained in a letter to President Poincare, alleging that M. Malvy sold the plans of tho Chemin des Dames offensive lo a German living in Spain. 11. Painleve (Premier) defended his former colleague, stating that unless M. Daudet produced his proofs severo steps would be takgn against hitn.l
