ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES
DEATH FROM BURNS. An inquest was held Yesterday morning by Mr. \\. Q. jliddfll, S.M., into tho circumstances attending the death of Charlolto Grant, a single woman, aged SG, housekeeper for her brother-in-lair, David A. Taylor, a widower, residing, at 2'J Keiisvyn Terrace, who died at the Hospital on October 18. It was etated in evidence that on the night of October 10 Mifis Grant retired to her room, and some time later she was seen to enlarge sernaniing from her room with hw clothes in flames. jto alleviate her suffering. Dr. Line was ealled in, and ordered her removal to the Hospital, where aho died ns! stated. While in the institution Miss Grant admitted that she was in the habit of rending in bed l>y candlelight. On the night in question she fell asleep before extinguishing the light. The next thing she knew was that her clothes were on lire. The Coroner- returned a verdict that death was due to shock following niioii injuries accidentally received through her clothing catching fire.
