My grandfather, James Simmons Konner (not Henry), emigrated to Altona, Germany, at the ago of ton, with. his parents. Ho was educated and learnt J his trade (shipwright) in Germany, later marrying a German lady. My father, one of a largo family of eleven, was Frederick Eenner. Ho also was educated in Germany, and later on married a German lady. Both emigrated to New Zealand. As for the statement mado by ueorgo ]?cnner, of Kaikoiira, namely: ii. brazen attempt on my part to evade duly; my reason for appealing was out of respect to my mother and deceased father, and also on account of all my blood relations being in Gormany.—l am, etc., GEORGE SIMMONS RENNEK, AYellilißton, October Ifl.
