DEATH FROM BURNS. On Wednesday of lust week Hiss Charlotte Grant, housekeeper for her widowed brother-in-law, Mr. David A. Taylor, at No. 22 Kenwyn Terrace, w.as admitted to Wellington Hospital suffering from severe burns on her arras, hands, and chest, and also from shook. Despite medical skill she gradually sank, and died at half-past 1 o'clock 'yesterday morning.

A. MINER KILLED. By Telegraph—Press Association. . Waihi, October 18. A miner named John MTherson was killed yesterday afternoon in the Waibi mine. It appears that a round of holes had been fired, after which MTherson returned /and barred down the loose stones. A large piece came away unexpectedly, striking MTherson on the head, and killing him almost instantaneously. Deceased leaves a, wife and six children.
