ONSLOW AND THE CITY
THE QUESTION OF AMALGAMATION; It was stated at the City Council last evening that a letter had been received from the Major of Onslow advocating the amalgamation of Onslow with the city, with the object of economical administration of local bodies, and suggesting, as a necessary preliminary to the opening, of negotiations, a visit of the Mayor and City Councillors to the district to thoroughly see the present conditions in the borough. A committee report will -be presented to the council : on the proposal at an early date. . . , '
