HOTEL LICENSE FEES
REFUNDS SOUGHT. The Finance Committee reported to the City Council last evening that .they had been/wailed on by a deputation representing the 'Wellington botelkeepers, who made the following requests, in view of the proposed .restriction of hours for tho sale of liquor by the Sale of Liquor Restriction' Bill:— I, That the council allow a icfund of half the license fee for the unexpired portion of the licensing year,, i.e., half of ,£23 6s. Sd.-JJH 13s. Id. 0 That the council arrange for a. revaluation of the hotel properties in order that a new annual .value. can bs arrived at for their premises Tho committee recommended that tho deputation bo informed that tho council cannot accede to their ™9" cste - ... The recommendation of tho committee was adopted by the council.
