The Hew Zealand Loan and Mercantile l&genoy ,0o„ Ltd., report:—On Monday we conducted a olearing sale of dairy stock and cattlc on account of' Mr. W. L. Bird, Ifanakau. The cattle wore in rather low condition, but, notwithstanding this, there was keen competition throughout and a highly satisfactory sale resulted. The herd of 27 made the good average of £12 65.; best cows made £13. £13 10s., £13 17s. 6d„ £14 IDs.) £15 155., and £17; aged bull, £11; springing heifers, £8 12s. 63. to £10 12s. 6d.; heifers, r.w'.b., £6 10s. to £6 12s. 6(1.; twelve-months heifers, £4 195.; two and a half to thrco-ycar steers, £10 12s. fid.; eighteen-months steers, £7 95.; twelvemonths steers, £5 18s.; sow, to farrow. £5 7s. 6d.; empty sow, £2; boar, 205.; port ers, 395.; small weaner pigs, 225.; calvcs, two' to eight weeks, 135.; spring dray, £11 10«.
