favoured with . perfect weather the .TohnsonviUe Club' opened its green on Saturday, when there was a large attendance of members and their lady friends, aJid a visiting team from the Kiiandallak Club. Tho president, Mr. Robert Turner, extended a hearty welcome to all, and hoped that the aeason would be a -successful one in every respect. Since lasttseason the club had lost the services of ono of.their most prominent members, Mr. Norman Cook, who is at present at tho front. The club had now five niombars on activo service. The thanks of the olnb wore extended lo- those ladies i who kindly dispersed afternoon tea during last season, and also to Mr. Brantley, the oarotaker, for tho excellent condition of. tho green. The president called on Miss Noel Turner to throw tho Brst jack, after which he declared the green open for plav. A mirnbor of enjoyable games wero plaved during the afternoon. Tho TChandallah Bowling Club _ will open its green for the season on Saturday next.
