A YACHTING TROPHY

A handsome silver cup is at present on view at Messrs. E. IV. Mills and Co.'s warehouse. It is known as the Mills Cup, and is -a memorial to the late Jlr, E. C.'-E; Mills, who died last .year, and who was for several terms commodore of the Port Nicholson Yacht Club. The cup stands on a highly-polished mahogany .base, and is at. least two feet higli. It is beautifully engraved and chased. Oil one side is a representation of the yacht llainbow, which the late Mr. Mills owned and sailed in Wellington Harbour; and on the other is an' inscription which reads;' "The. E. C. E. Mills Challenge Clip. Presented to the Port Nicholson Yacht Club by the late Mr. E. C. E. Mills to lie competed for by first-class sailing yachts, races to start andr finish in Wellington Harbour; the cup to hecome the property of the winner three times in succession or live times at intervals."
