SOLDI-EE- SENTENCED TO EIGHTEEN MONTHS' IMPRISONMENT.
A notification in Trentham Camp Orders states that 12/1658 Pte. L. G. Hart, II Coy., 29th Reinforcements, found guilty by District Court-martial of deserting His Majesty's Service, losing by neglect his equipment, clothjng, and regimental necessaries, has been sentenced to imprisonment with hard labour for eighteen months. Tho following temporary appointments have been approved by the Camp Commandant !.t Trentham ters Stuff (Works Department): Ptes. H. Brookcr and A. E. Roots to bo corporals. E Company, 30th Reinforcements: Pto. J. D. Pj;oi to be corporal. C Company, 30th Reinforcements: Cpl. G. A. Hawkes to be sergeant; L.-Cpl. F. W. Pye to be corporal; Pte. T. H. Bailey to be lance-corporal. Tho following temporary appointments have been approved by the Camp Commandant at Featherston: —Ptes. R. A. Nimmo and R. Kirkpatrick, 35th Specialists, to bo corporals; Ptes. E.' T. Cash and T. A. James, 35th Specialists, to bo lance-corporals;. Ptes. A. G. Wiltshire and I!. S. 'Wheeler, 35th Specialists, to be corporals; Ptes. L. W. Wilkins and A. E. Lust, 35th Specialists, to be lancecorporals.
