HAWKE'S BAY SHOW
' The Hawko's Bay Show will ha held at Hastings on Wednesday and Thursday of .neit week, and the hotel accommodation at Hastings is taid to bo already somewhat taxed. Tho cattlo portion of tho show is expected to Iμ remarkably strong this year, Horefords being on top for. the fjrat time, with Shorthorns ono or two entries behind. ■ I'riesians will also be a strong class, but there is fair representation in every breed in tho catalogue. Outside exhibitors comprise nearly every important stock-breeder in the southern portion of the North Island. Somo of the breeders have been, badly hit owing to their etud-uwn having gone into camp, but tho number, of entries has been very little affected, and the total number of entries for. tho show is actually greater than last year. The country is looking so well at present that visitors to Hawko's Bay should enjoy a treat in spending a few days in tho province, apart from the valuo of the show itself.
