SOLDIERS' APPRECIATION
ADDRESS PRESENTED. TO LADIES OP SYDNEY STREET CLUB.
The ladies,of the Sydney Street Soldiers' Club were' presented with an address, last evening expressing appreciation of their work on behalf of the eoldiers. In the unavoidable absence \of the president, Mrs. Hassey. the- address wrs received by Mrs. W. P. Moorbouse and Mrs. Pearson. The wording of tho address is as follows:—
"The non-commissioned officers and men of P Companv of the Thirtieth "Reinforcements of the New Zealand/ Expeditionary Force to the ladies of tho Sydney Street Soldiers' Club.—We.' the undersigned non-commissioned officers and men of F Company of the Tln'rtipf.h Reinforcements, desire to convey to the la'dies of the Sydney Street Club mir heartfelt thank* for the generous hospitality extended to us du.ring our period of training in camp. We appreciate to Hie heartiest degree the many kindnesses shown to \\i. and wherever our lot may be cast, and whatever the fortune of war may hold in etore for us. the ladies of the club',may rest assured that the efforts they hare made on our behalf and the many pleasant associations con- -■ nected with the olnb will ever be gratefully remembered by cur company. Wo cordially wi?h the ladies every success in tho- splendid work th'py are doing on behalf of soldiers generally, and hopo that one hud all mill enjoy lone life and all the happiness which' they so richly deserve." ■ . . • The address bears the signatures of over a hundred non-commissioned officers and men of the company. It is very handsome nnd has at the top the badge of the Thirtieth Reinforcements.
